Japan in a 4 point nutshell

1. You will be in awe and amazement in every place you visit. From the vast areas of gigantic temples and ancient building, to the bright lights and busy life in the cities, Japan is just so different from anywhere else.
2. You will be ashamed of the lack of organisation and hygiene in your own country. Everywhere is beautifully clean in Japan, even the bustling streets of Tokyo, which has a higher population than Jakarta, are well equipped with rubbish bins, street cleaners and well maintained pavements. The public services are also top notch, from public transport to public bathrooms!
3. I don’t think you could get the full experience on a budget. Japan is expensive, salaries are double of those in the UK and so is the cost of living. Before you even enter the country you have to folk out for a rail pass (we got a 2 week one at 500 quid each), and flights. A basic hotel isn’t cheap either. Then there are the entrance fees to the attractions, restaurants and extortionate alcohol costs. Just be aware, get saving before you go!
4. I would totally recommend it! Japan really did have everything, nature, cities, and culture in abundance. The food is just insanely good and different from western cuisine. Travelling around the country is really manageable and you can cover a lot of ground in around 10-12 days.
Put it on your bucket list!
I have a full itinerary from our trip if you’re interested in seeing it.
